The Harry W. Voege Award memorializes the legendary style and spirit of the late Harry W. Voege, who signaled the official start of The Annual Invitational Lake Placid Regatta for more than three decades.
Harry never sought the limelight, but often became the center of attention. With perseverance, follow-through and good-natured humor, Harry held the Regatta to the highest standards on each and every occasion. The Harry W. Voege award is given to the skipper and crew that led their sunfish to the best start of the fleet.
